Discover the exciting world of philosophy over a cake and a coffee, or a light meal and a glass of wine, with author and former philosophy lecturer, Alan Murray. The sessions will take place every other Friday between 2pm and 4pm starting on Friday February 9th, and each begins with a short talk by Alan on some of the key ideas in philosophy, followed by a lively and fun group discussion on how these ideas relate to contemporary issues. No preparation is required and you don’t need to have studied philosophy. All you need is an openness to new ideas and a readiness to have your mind blown. For more information about the sessions and what philosophy is, go to the ‘What We Do?’ page of this site. For information about the Dugdale Centre and all the other wonderful things that go on there, just scroll down this page. Information about the tutor, Alan, can be found on ‘The Tutor’ page. If you would like to attend the sessions, you can email Alan using the ‘Contact’ page of this site.
